For ESPN commissioners
Make your league viewable
One setting, thirty seconds. Then every manager in your league can grade trades with your real rosters on Trade Lab, free.
1Why it helps
ESPN only shows private leagues to signed-in members, so Trade Lab can’t read your rosters on its own. When the commissioner turns on public viewing, every manager can load the league with just the link. Rosters, scores and standings stay in step with ESPN automatically, and nobody has to copy anything by hand.
2How to turn it on
Do this on espn.com in a browser. The ESPN app doesn’t have this setting.
- Open your league on espn.com and sign in as the commissioner.
- Go to the League tab, then Settings, then Basic Settings.
- Choose Edit Basic Settings.
- Set Make League Viewable to Public to Yes.
- Choose Save Changes.
Open Trade Lab
3What it does
- Anyone with your league’s direct link who isn’t a member can see the League Office, Standings, Box Scores and Team Pages.
- The list of team managers and the league message board are never visible to people outside the league.
- It is read-only. The league stays invite-only, and nobody can join, make a move or change a setting.
- No passwords, emails or sign-in details are shared with Trade Lab.
- You can turn it off any time by setting it back to No in Basic Settings.
ESPN describes this setting in its support article.
