Privacy Policy
Effective October 6, 2026
Fantasy Football Trade Lab ("Trade Lab," "we," "us") at fftradelab.com is a tool for analyzing fantasy football trades. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account information. If you sign in, we receive your email address from the sign-in method you choose (an emailed link, Google or Discord). From Google or Discord we may also receive your name and profile picture. We do not receive your passwords.
- League and app data. League rosters, team names, records, the league schedule and league settings you import from Sleeper or ESPN or enter yourself; your settings; value adjustments; saved trades; trades you add to your trade history; trade ideas you hide; and trades you enter in the Trade Analyzer, which stay on your device unless you share them. An analyzer link you copy contains the trade and its settings in the page address fragment, which browsers don't send to any server.
- Arcade. If you play Trade Lab Arcade signed in, we store your 3-letter initials, your run scores, the achievements you unlock, and your avatar, title and level, so they can appear on the leaderboards and the Hall of Fame. Other players see only your initials, avatar, title and level. Played signed out, high scores and achievements stay on your device.
- Technical data. Our hosting and sign-in providers automatically process basic technical information such as IP address and browser type to deliver the site and keep it secure.
We do not collect payment information ourselves, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information.
How we use it
- To run the tool: analyze trades, find trade ideas and show your league.
- If you sign in, to save your data to your account and sync it across your devices.
- To keep the service working, secure and free of abuse.
We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers listed below.
Where it's stored
If you don't sign in, your data stays in your browser's local storage on your device and is not sent to us. If you sign in, a copy of your data is stored in our database hosted by Supabase so it can sync across devices.
Service providers
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Supabase provides sign-in and stores account data.
- Google and Discord provide sign-in if you choose them.
- Sleeper and ESPN provide league data when you import a league, including each week's matchups for playoff odds. Sleeper data, including player projections and which players are being added and dropped, is requested directly by your browser, or through our server if Sleeper can't be reached directly. ESPN data may be fetched through our server on Supabase because ESPN doesn't allow other websites to read it directly; we don't store it there. If your ESPN league is private and you connect it with your ESPN sign-in cookies (espn_s2 and SWID), either with our connector bookmark or by entering them yourself, they are sent only to fetch your league and are kept on your device. They are saved to your account only if you turn on the option to use them on your other devices, and you can remove them at any time with “Forget it” on the League tab. The connector passes them back to this site in the page address fragment, which browsers don't send to any server.
- ESPN also provides player news (Rotowire reports), the NFL injury report and players' game logs. News and the injury report are fetched by our server on Supabase; game logs are requested directly by your browser. Only player IDs are sent, never information about you.
- Player photos and team logos are loaded by your browser from Sleeper's image server. As with any image, Sleeper sees the request itself (your IP address and browser), but no account or league information is sent.
- FantasyCalc provides player market values. Your browser requests these directly and no personal information is sent.
- DynastyProcess (hosted on GitHub) provides dynasty player and draft pick values. Your browser requests these directly and no personal information is sent.
- Google Fonts serves the site's fonts.
- Buy Me a Coffee handles optional support payments through the “Support Trade Lab” link. We don't receive or store your payment details; Buy Me a Coffee shares with us only what its normal supporter notifications include (such as the name and message you choose to leave).
Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and local storage
We use your browser's local storage to save your data and keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
- You can use Trade Lab without an account.
- You can delete your saved account data, including arcade scores and achievements, at any time in Settings with "Delete my cloud data." To delete your sign-in account entirely, email us and we'll remove it.
- You can clear data stored on your device with "Reset everything" in Settings or by clearing your browser's site data.
Data retention
We keep your account data until you delete it or ask us to delete your account. Deleted data may remain in routine backups for a short period before it is removed.
Children
Trade Lab is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
